I’m Terren, and I grow the flowers for Birdhouse Blooms here in NC near Wake Forest, without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides.

My cutting garden is curated with beautifully blended color palettes and unique seasonal ingredients that simply cannot be found with traditional wholesale based florists. I create garden-inspired designs full of natural textures, airy accents and earthy tones using my home-grown ingredients that have not traveled many miles to reach you or your loved one.

I also now collaborate with Piedmont Local Flowers! Piedmont Local Flowers “is a cooperative venture of 12 flower farms …” whose mission is “to serve the local floral community with high quality, fresh, and sustainably-grown flowers straight from the fields of our member farms in central North Carolina.”

This winter the farm moved again, and this new collaboration will help bridge gaps I have in flower production while the new gardens are planted and maturing. It also allows me to support other local flower farmers who align with my values concerning sustainability and responsible flower farming practices.

In general, I offer flowers from March through the end of September.

Wondering why I don’t offer flowers year round? That is because I, or other local NC flower farmers, grow 100% of all the flowers right here in central North Carolina! If we can’t grow it, I don’t offer it. That means tulips and peonies only come in spring, the zinnias + cosmos star in the summer, and Dahlias are the Queen of Fall, The seasonality of the flowers and bouquets lets each flower shine when it grows best. My job as the Farmer-Florist is to showcase what nature does best. I can’t wait for you and your loved ones to experience this unique style with the flowers offered at Birdhouse Blooms.
